Thank You Victoria!!!
We made history April 19-21 2013 when we transformed St. Ann’s Academy into a community village that showcased many of this province’s most talented individuals, groups, businesses and green leaders in a festive way to celebrate where we call home and bring attention to the importance of our natural world.

It’s estimated more than 5,500 people came out in support. We were honoured to have blessings from both the Esquimalt & Songhees First Nations and have the Earth Walk join in the celebration.

Thank you to everyone for coming out in support and to the many businesses, individuals and community groups for joining us! Special thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who helped make this event happen. May Earth Day be every day!!!

Thanks to Shaw for being one of our esteemed sponsors! We made history at St. Ann’s when Shaw installed the first wireless internet for a community festival during the event.

Why Creatively United For The Planet?

Creatively United recognized by CRD with EcoStar Award

This video was produced by the CRD shortly after the inaugural Creatively United for the Planet Festival in 2012 upon announcing festival founder, Frances Litman, as the winner of the 2012 CRD EcoStar Community Leadership Award.

Creatively United for the Planet is now a not-for-profit society and not in a position to donate money as we aren’t earning a profit.

Last year, Frances donated not only more than a year of her time to start the festival, but donated almost $10,000 in start-up costs so that more than 15 eco charities could have a financial benefit.

For the second year in a row, Frances has worked tirelessly without any monetary compensation to ensure undervalued community groups get the exposure they deserve. The Creatively United for the Planet Society is not in a position to donate money to these community organizations and charities. Our gift is to create a top-notch free all ages event where everyone unites as community.

Each charity or community organization is responsible for their own fund-raising, and being a not-for-profit Creatively United for the Planet Society must do the same in order to remain sustainable.
